Community Service Federal Work Study Jobs

Through the SLU Community Service Federal Work Study Program, students can earn $10 per hour working at a local non-profit. You can gain valuable experience, all while making a difference.

Community Service Federal Work Study (FWS) jobs available for Summer 2020 are listed below by site. Please note that given the COVID-19 situation, many can be done remotely.  Each site has a short description of their mission. Simply click on the job listing for a preview, then follow the links to log in and apply via Handshake, SLU's job database. All jobs listed pay $10 per hour.

Campus Kitchen 

On-campus organization that rescues food, cooks it into nutritious meals, then delivers them to elderly, low-income, and homeless individuals in need.

City Garden Montessori School

K-8 charter school, sponsored by Saint Louis University, serving mixed income families in the Tower Grove and Forest Park Southeast neighborhoods.

Fit and Food Connection

Non-profit organization that works to improve health behaviors of low-income families in North County, especially nutrition and exercise.

Urban Harvest STL

Non-profit organization growing rooftop community gardens to educate people on the importance of healthy eating, as well as to provide fresh food to those living in food deserts.
